Ziarah revolves around an evening with a family of three - an aging dying mother and her two conflicted adult sons - as they reveal to one another their deepest desires and frustrations whilst they await the final breath of the mother. Tensions and faultlines begin to surface with every revelation as the family is reduced to a state of aggression that threatens the calm.
First performed in 1992 , "Ziarah" or Visit, was an examination on the extent of anger and patience in the Malay mindset of "sopan-santun" or politeness and courtesy. The 2009 revisit of Ziarah will continue to develop this experiment, to explore and reexamine closer how anger is suppressed in the 'I' as a sacrifice and obligation to the 'We' of the family unit.

ni lagi satu, mami bangga sangat dengan korang semue, bertungkus lumus kerje keras dengan seluruh TEATRO, kan bagus tu alhamdulillah. insylh, cerite korang pasal zaman jepun tu menjadi, mami doakan. kalau korang nak tau sedikit sebanyak pasal perang jepun tu calling mami ler, mami ingat jugak pasal zam kecik2 dulu tu.. dashyat bukan main, seram..
